Legislative Definition of a Crime Victims

During the 2018 Legislative Session, the statutory definition of a victim was changed. This bill will primarily impact determinations of who is eligible for statutory victims’ rights, victim services, and victim compensation. LB160 goes into effect on Thursday, July 19, 2018 NCVC has prepared the following "quick reference" document to assist victim service providers to understand and implement this change.
